Edith Pons (Mexico City, 1978) is a Mexican painter whose work is dedicated to revealing existential meaning through beauty.

She studied Visual Arts at La Esmeralda National School of Painting, Sculpture and Printmaking (1996–2001), where she began a lifelong search for the meaning and purpose of art. After years of artistic practice, research, and reflection, her work gradually evolved toward a renewed appreciation of beauty, objective reality, and the classical artistic tradition.

From 2013 to 2018, she directed a cultural project for the Archdiocese of Mexico, working with exhibitions and projects featuring artists such as Yoko Ono, Barbara Kruger, Tracey Emin, and Keith Haring. This experience deepened her interest in sacred art and its role in contemporary culture.

Periods dedicated to religious life and spiritual formation became an important part of her artistic journey. Immersion in theology, philosophy, and Christian anthropology helped shape her understanding of life, meaning, beauty, and the human person, offering answers to questions that had accompanied her since her early years as an artist. In 2025, she pursued studies in Sacred Art at the Pontifical University of Mexico.

Her paintings seek to unite technical excellence with symbolic depth, drawing inspiration from classical, religious, and mythological themes. Through her work, she seeks to restore transcendental beauty to art and create images that offer contemplation, meaning, and hope in an increasingly fragmented cultural landscape.

In 2026, she published Ars Veritatis, a book reflecting on beauty, truth, the nature of art, and the possibility of objective artistic judgment in contemporary culture.

Her work has received international recognition, including a Third Prize and an Honorable Mention at the Catholic Art Institute Sacred Art Prize (2025).
