This book addresses a fundamental question: what is art?

In a context where criteria have dissolved and it is claimed that anything can be art, the question is no longer secondary. It becomes decisive.

From this situation, unavoidable questions emerge:

Does truth exist in art, or is everything a construction?

Is it possible to distinguish between good and evil in a work?

Is there a real criterion for judgment?

What is art for?

And what does it truly mean to create?

Contemporary thought has tended to reduce art to partial dimensions: expression, experience, concept, or discourse.

In this process, the image has been separated from meaning, and judgment has been replaced by interpretation.

This book does not propose another opinion within that panorama.

It proposes a system.

A system that allows us to understand the nature of art, recognize its structure, exercise judgment, and restore its true meaning.

Through it, the fundamental notions of art are ordered—not as isolated elements, but as parts of an intelligible unity.

Because if art has a nature, then it can be understood.

And if it can be understood, it can also be judged.

And if it can be judged… then not everything is equivalent.

The answer will be more evident—and more demanding—than it may seem.
